Viceroy Rubber Canada, better known for hockey pucks and basketballs, manufactured many of Sun Rubber Co. USA toys. This rubber racer is the green and silver version. Also made in other colours. Fun shelf filler and part of Viceroys large toy history.

**Doesn't seem to be a Category in the drop down menu for Rubber toy cars and am finding it difficult to place collections in appropriate Category.**

Ok, that's one I don't have, lol I do have a few Sun Rubber but didn't know that some were made outside the US. How are these marked?
      How long is it?
I have a thing for open wheel race cars too,lol

I think it is about 6 1/2 inches. Be exact same size as the sun rubber. I have seen them side by side and they are twins. Same goofy racers head, wheels, etc. I will have to dig back in my toy collection to get a shot of the underside. Had this one for a couple of years, and sadly as I aquire new toys, at a rate of about 4 a week, the older ones get a bit buried. I think it has the viceroy logo and has made in canada on the bottom, but with the amount of toys I seem to collect, it is easy to forget. Happy to say that this car has suffered from any of the usual rubber toy warpage, brittleness, etc. I find the green a bit dull compared to the red/white or blue/yellow painted ones. Maybe being a more neutral colour has helped it survive. Thanks for checking the toy out AZTom. Some day when I have a lot of time, I will spread out my collection for a group photo. I ran out of shelf space a long time ago.

Thanks for the info. I think mine is the green one by Sun Rubber.

After 45+ years of collecting toys, I have a few too many to fit the shelves as well, lol

This is a new one for me, never seen this one before.
The open racers are surely one of the most sought after.
The Japan lithograph stuff is getting into the untouchable range!
      Sweet little toy!
