This was given to me by my father about 10 years ago. It was a gift to him in the late 60's by a journalist that traveled across seas to Asia often. It is 1 inch tall and I think it may be made of gold. I have been trying for about a week posting on alot of websites and have not gotten any answers....HELP!!!!!

Hi Tazhoe,
I don't know if this is gold or not but assume if you think it is, it is heavy. I have traveled Asia extensively and there are items like this, mostly in Burma and Cambodia that are weights for heroin. (back in the Georgian/Victorian days) Different animals/people/monsters were very common. NO idea if this is correct, but it is kinda what it looks like. If nothing else it is another path to look into. Good luck!
Thanks for your help.
