Heres a JC Higgins English racer I bought yesterday . It belonged to this Ladys Father who had passed. It is late 50's or early 60's, I have not done the research on it yet. It is made in Austria, and has the 3 speed. She looks a bit rough but looks like it will clean up pretty good. I will tear it down and do it right. I am not into this style bike, but it is kinda kool.

Looks alot like the Hercules 3 speed I have.
Thanks, Rickster and Pop_abides. I guess most of these bikes were built much the same.
Almost identical to one of mine. I'd be interested to see what it is worth. The chain guard on mine doesn't have the bump like on yours. Makes me think yours would be older. I was thinking mine was mid 50s. Not sure.
I have a question? I was going through my dad's stuff in the basement and found his old bike, its not in the best shape and it says that it's a Dixie Flyer by Hoffman. Anybody know if it has any value ?
Thanks
Huffman maybe. Yes it has value. I have some Huffmans myself. Nice bikes. Post a photo as I would love to see it.
