    Another piece of pottery from an estate that I am not familiar with

    The mug is 4 1/2" high and 3 1/2" across the bottom
    There is much aging on this item

      Fascinating.
      This may be Hamada, he did occasionally use iron glaze in this thick style.

      Your new collection of pottery is wonderful.
      I am wondering if an art school in the US or a museum may be able to help you further with IDs? Maybe email a curator with photos....this museum may be a start.
