There's a local auction I've been attending since I was a kid (dragged there by my parents as a kid, willingly now). It's rare that any type of good art glass shows up there, but every once and a while something makes an appearance. This month a nice piece of silver overlay Loetz Crete Pampas (green ground with blue iridescent finish) made an appearance, advertised simply as an art glass vase.

I thought the shape was unusual, thinking perhaps it was a commission piece, I sent a photo to Warren. It turned out to be better then a commission piece, turns out to be a 1900 Paris Exhibition piece designed by none other then Franz Hofstätter, PN II-375.

Santa came early this year :)
