This "unmarked" chocolate pot came over on the boat from Germany with my ancestors in the late 1800's. I have made several attempts to identify and date this piece, but as of this post, I have yet to verify my findings.
I believe after viewing one other similar picture that I finally managed to find, that it is a Nippon (from Germany). I say this because the finial is characteristic and identical to the Nippon style.
However, I have not viewed any pictures that show a bamboo handle like this chocolate pot has. The Chocolate pot is completely free of damage...no cracks, chips, crazing or repairs what so ever.
I would certainly appreciate any and all infomation (maker/date) anyone might be able to give me regarding this chocolate pot. I thank you all in advance for your help and assitance.
P.S. For those of you like me who read this site, yes this is the chocolate pot I mentioned in my first post when I shared pictures/history of my RS Prussia bowl.
