Today I will show you some silver and marcassite jewelry I picked up lately.
The dog brooch misses a clasp so I will change it into a pendant. Not sure how much I paid for it, not much I guess. I love it because of its deco theme: a greyhound?(not sure about the english word for "windhond"), jumping trough a hoop! Couldn t get more twenties or thirties, now could it?
I couldn t pass by the more traditional flower brooch, as it was only 2,5€. I did a quick fix to the tube, to make it close again, et voila: its up and running again.
The flower brooch dates from the thirties, the dog also early twenties to thirties, both marked 835, so from Belgium I think :-)
These silver marcassite jewelry where made from the 1900s till late fourties. Every woman had at least a few of them in her jewelry cabinet I presume.

I find this type of jewelry always so beautiful because it is so delicately. Moreover, I really prefer silver over gold because silver probably keep me better state than gold. Most people do not know that the different colors of metal one man be better than the other. This is because people are divided into different color types and this component used to belong to my field.

When I find jewelry somewhere, its always silver, never gold. Glad with what I do find but I would love to dig up some gold treasures though ;-)
I dont know all of my colors, but brown and olive green where between them. Lucky for me I love those colors
