This is a Vitalator Jr. The label indicates that the product was made by Meccano Co. of America, located at 200 5th Avenue, New York City. The internet seems to place this item somewhere within the 1930's or 40's. The only description I can find is a general one for Vitalators, "Portable electrically operated vibrating appliance for massaging the human body and stimulating functions thereof for use by athletes, barbers, beauty parlors, and in the home." The patent number on the switch is 1638828.
I just found this piece and am wonderfing if anyone can tell me more about it.
