In the entry display at The Society of California Pioneers some of the items that got me in the mood of the place were the beer and liquor bottles. I can just imagine the Gold Rushers sitting in a tavern, knocking back a few after a long day mining for gold. With the bottles resting on boxes and chests, it is just fitting.
I personally really like the swing stopper on the ale. Wouldn't it be nice to have a top like that on a beer bottle today? There is no way to reseal the tops of today's bottles.
