Not my favourite vase, but it is undeniably OLD. I can't figure out what it is. Porcelain irregularities and theme say 'early Chinese' but it is in near-perfect condition. Obviously hand-painted, yet has a commercial feeling. The 'hand' that made the mark looks Japanese to me; the painting itself looks Chinese. Plus...it's kinda ugly...am I right? Would LOVE to know what the mark "is". Cheers.

I think this is not Asian, the mark is not in any of the references I use. It could be European, and you may have a better chance for recognition in the category for China (dinnerware). I was not able to get a sharp image with enhancement, replacing photo one with an image in better focus also might help. Good luck.

Believe it or not, it is blurry like this on the vase, but thanks. I am 90% sure it's Asian, too, because of the porcelain itself, but you may be right. However, because it's a vase, I will not be including it as dinnerware. Thanks very much for your insights.

Look at China and Dinnerware, Show and Tell, here's an example:

Thanks, but this vase is at least a hundred years old, probably more. It doesn't qualify as "china".
