My husband found this wonderful screen at a thrift store today. One screen panel needs some new hinges but otherwise its in great condition. I'm completely out of my element here so I was hoping someone could help with its history and age. The panels are carved with raised detail, both sides are decorated but one side is less detailed, and stands about 6 feet tall.

Oh WOW !.....what an incredible find Sara. Even if it turns out to be fairly modern it would not have been cheap. It's a beauty ! :)

Hello Lisa, thank you for your fast response. The screen is solid wood and very heavy. It looks like the wood has been carved to give it dimensional design, no other material appears to have been used. The other side of the screen has a few rocks and bamboo drawings but it appears as though a different artist did the design. Thanks again for your help~Sarah
