A small collection of glass mainly European. The lighting really enhances the beauty of the glass pieces.

All great Decovoo but I am really interested in the 3 frosted ones towards the back.
Do you know who made them? Is the colour on them captured glass or later enameling?
    3. DecoVoo DecoVoo, 8 years ago
Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Racer; the 3 frosted pieces at back are later enamelled and made by Womar of Poland.

I must admit I've never heard about glass maker in Poland called Womar.I've scoured the Net searching for information and found tens of companies called Womar ( popular abbreviation from first letters of a name and a surname)- from babies carriages, thru steel to doctors ,but no one was an art glass producer. I think they are just importers and dealers.I wonder if there's any sticker on the vases.
    5. Ivonne Ivonne, 8 years ago
Yes,digging deeper I've found that Womar is a company from Florida run by Marcin Waszkiewicz and importing glassware from Poland.Unfortunetely,I don't know from which glassworks.

Thanks DecoVoo,as I said it's not a glass maker just importer ,so the vases aren't made by Womar but in Poland by whom...? don't know.I haven't seen such items here.

I remember distinctly the seller of my item telling me that he thought it was Krosno.

Thanks vetraio50 for the info, my pieces are not vintage but possibly Krosno copies? I will leave this up to you guys!!

"Womar Glass Inc. was established in 2006 as a result of combining the experience of three people from three different areas of business. The founders, Renata Misztal, Wojciech Jankowski and Marcin Waszkiewicz bring over thirty years of experience in retail, wholesale and manufacturing. The Poland based manufacturing plant employs more than one thousand people. For over fifteen years Womar Glass has manufactured hand-made fine glassware for many well known glass retailers. They want to sell directly to "Mom and Pop" privately owned shops, enabling them to compete with large retailers. By buying directly from Womar Glass, small retailers increase their profits and cut out the middle man at the same time."

      Well that was easy :)
    13. vetraio50 vetraio50, 8 years ago
I've had a look at the company and Wojciech Jankowski is involved in a number of firms and products as well as glass. The American arm of the firm is Marcin Waszkiewicz who imports glass through Germany - a transportation link to Poland and a company in Krosno called Milomax Spolka Akcyjna.

Amazing work and thanks vetraio50 for all the effort. I am a admirer/collector but by no means an expert. It looks like they are trying to hit the market big time which would be a change from all the Chinese glass out there.( not that there is anything wrong with that) lol
    16. vetraio50 vetraio50, 8 years ago
I agree with you totally ... they do Swarovski designs as well.
    17. Ivonne Ivonne, 8 years ago
      Ha,vetraio,you're an EXPERT!
I've never heard about Milomax and even haven't seen their production here.Perhaps they export most of it.
