Bought this necklace i am going to restring but not sure what it is any help would be grateful i have done the salt water test but they just stay at the bottom i have one of the beads which was damaged so i tried to do some testing the tap hot water makes the beads give off a very mild stale resin like smell haven't got the best of smell beads vary in shape and colour very light and when rubbed does attract hair and fluff i left a bead over night in acetone and nothing happened except i needed to polish up again same when i poured boiling water over it i just couldn't get any result from the needle test when burnt it just smouldered and left a brown mark i would love any ideas on these because i some times make necklaces for our tribal dance but don't want to use if any chance they are amber thanks
i have done the salt water test and they float i will be treating them very carefully will be restrung not using on my dance costume now to nice for that i am sure that they must be amber now
yes i didn't have the combination of salt and water right i have a photo of them floating so i guess that's what was wrong the first time sink in the plain water and now float in the salt water i cant wait to restring them i love the colour too x
i love them and i think you are total right i only payed 50p for them at a car boot for my tribal dance costume i dont think i will use them for that now x
