This is my big thrift shop find for today for $2.50. From what I could find out, this is from the 1960s. I need to visit my friend at the pawn shop to see if she has some Aurora Borealis crystals lying around. Only need three of them.

Mike is the SC expert, he may be able to tell you more about this beautiful brooch. If you were in the US, I'd know who could help you replace those vintage rhinestones, good luck with this project, Bonnie. :)
katherine - It should be fairly easy for me to replace those missing stones. My pawn shop friend removes all the stones from silver jewelry before it's melted down. She has loads of different stones so I figure she must also have some of what I need lying around somewhere in a box. :-) Failing that, I can pick up an old piece of aurora borealis costume jewelry from a flea market. :-)
