I'm looking for the name of this water pitcher. It is a Libbey pitcher with the logo from the 1896-1906 period (4th picture). I was told when I bought it that it was called Pattern #83. Someone else said it was Pattern #300 ? I would've thought it would've had a more common name as a marketing tool (i.e. Raindrops ?) for those "zipper-like" cuts on the sides. At the turn of the century, who would buy a luxury item with a name #83 ?
The pitcher is 6 1/4" tall (from the table to the highest point of the spout) x 8 1/2" from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle x Upper diameter is 4 1/2" (at it's widest diameter down below is about 6 1/8"). It doesn't seem to have as "white" a color as another piece of ABP glass. Nor does it have as high a pitch ring when pinged.

      Dear Robin,
Isn't "pattern glass" for "pressed glass" ? This is a Libbey cut glass water pitcher. I had another cut glass dealer/expert on eBay tell me that it is called Pattern #83. I still say that it has to have a "fancy" name so that people would buy it. They had fancy names like "Russian", "Aztec", etc. I will check out the http://www.patternglass.com too. Thanks

When do we get to see the pink glass behind your pitcher?

That's the Indiana Glass Co. "Tea Room" (Depression Glass) sugar or creamer. I haven't posted it yet That one had the caddy, but all 3 pieces were damaged. The caddy had the least damage. I was able to get a replacement creamer. Still looking for the sugar. I recently got the green ones. I also bought the pink "Cracked Ice" pattern from the same company. It reminds me of a a horror movie. It's not the best quality glass ( bubbles, straw marks), but I liked the "Art Deco" design.
I posted the another funky pair that someone was kind enough to identify for me=The Cambridge Glass Co. "Decagon" pattern w/ the "Rosalie" etching. Check out that one for now.
