This sign used to hang in my parent's bar, circa 1940. They switched to Budweiser neon and it lay in our attic for 50 years until I found it. Originally it had an external 12,000 volt transformer, but I had a local neon guy attach a new solid state transformer. I've been searching the net for info but I can find no examples of this sign. Somewhere I have an interior bar pic that shows this sign above the backbar. There is a metal nameplate on back that says "Joseph Schlitz Brewing Co. Andy, Really love the sign!! Never saw it but I believe I have a similar one that's a Kruger Beer which mentions the keg. Being a pack-rat (to put it mildly) I have to find it to verify. When I do I'll get back to you. Been collecting neon for 35 years. Every kind in the beginning but now only 30's - 70's stuff. Local to Mass. but also national brands from this era. Again, love the sign!!!! John G.
