It will help id marks but marks are the last thing to look at when iding Chinese pieces. They put old marks on new pieces all the time. A lot of people have spent a lot of money on new pieces just by going by the mark..
Super Post -- I wish CW had a few pages here that were like a Sticky so they are kept for research......
