Bought this 17 years ago from second hand shop. It was rough and I immediately had it refinished. I was amazed at the beauty after it was cleaned up and properly stained. It had some old French newspapers in it when I bought it. But I know nothing else. I only bought it because I liked the inlays.
Can anyone identify what type of piece this is and approximate age?
    Thanks.

Possibly from the 1960's when they were making a lot of furniture in the french provincial style.
