This is another strange item, its a small spring balance, (that much I do know, but its use ???) it can measure Pull & Push, I.e. at either end, One hook, one flat end.

The scale is in metric and Imperial, and only measures up to 4lb, and the metric equivalent, it has a small marker that rides the pull and has to be manually reset, back to zero.

It has no makers marks or makers name...

My guess, it is used for testing something like a trigger pull weight.

    Any Ideas.

Construction looks like the Presola (?) scales we used in the '70's etc. for (?). LOL!!

Used for testing the force of starter and generator brush springs. Also used for ignition point springs .

But the increments on this tool are in pounds. Spring scales are usually in ounces. Perhaps of a different use entirely.

      Hi Slackjack,
Just double checked, and it definitely measures in lb and Kg up to 4 lb, 2Kg.

It appears really well made, just a shame it has no makers details.

      Rgds
