Old 1968 Mattel doll. I really love the old Peter Pan, Disney. I can't say I am crazy about the Movie live action treatment.

Eyes look hand painted. Very skilled work.

ronsovrstuffedattic - the facial features are transfer printed.

This doll isn't from 1968. The copyright date on the back of the doll is simply the date that body mold was copyrighted and has nothing to do with the date of release of this particular doll. The release date is listed on the box.

I fear Efesgirl got this right Although that doesn't mean the figure doesn't have any value. I think it a pretty cool figure as it had limited distribution. Although at the time it came out is when people realized toys would be worth money in the future and a lot of toy scalpers bought them.
Agree with you about the animated version vs all the live action versions. The recent one for out for about a week.

If the mold was created in 1968 they must have made some in 1968. Does anyone know what these look like?

Look at the head - often there is a date either on the back of the head or underneath on the rim.
