Hello! I was hoping anyone can give me some information on this piece of pottery? It's heavy for its size maybe 8inches. I picked it up at thrift shop. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Efesgirl! I totally agree that's why I bought it. Another lady said it might be a incense holder. I'll still keep searching for info!

I don't know if it's Japanese or Chinese. Well, here are two website that may help decipher the marks:

Well, the use of this was a suprise! Pretty fancy vessel for a urinal!

Faith.k, I suspect apostata was just "having us on," as the British might say. };-)

Google Lens says it's an incense burner.

Well, leave it to me to just blindly believe! I've always had to be wary due to my extreme gullibility! My friends and family love putting one over on me, free entertainment!

It's OK to joke sometimes, I just take a bit longer to realize it than most people. I can see where it looks kind of designed for a urinal! Perhaps nicer to display as a incense burner, lol.
