So this is a little covered jar, aqua blue with pretty molded details, beads and drapes. Candy dish, or sugar bowl? Looks like Depression glass to me, but what do I know? If any of you know, please do share, sharing is caring! Thanks for looking.

MYSTERY SOLVED: Our Master of Mystery Glass, TallCakes, IDed this as "KIG Indonesia covered candy", thank you again, Sir TallCakes. :)

Thanks for the love, OneGoodFind, AmatoorPikr, mikelv85, kyratango, brunswick, and nutsabotas6. :)

Thanks, OGF, I suspect it may be a reproduction of Depression glass which is uncommon, and yes that is a nice light blue. :)

Thanks, kyratango, it is a lovely blue color, isn't it? :)

KIG Indonesia made several patterns, including this one, to mimic depression glass patterns; many are marked. Search KIG Indonesia covered candy

Thanks, TallCakes, you are correct, this is apparently KIG! :)

Thanks, TallCakes, you are correct, this is KIG! I couldn't read the mark on mine until I saw your comment, then the letters made sense. :)

I've lost track of how many times I've thought I had an old era piece in my hands and had to put it down. Sometimes Indonesia appears around the outer perimeters of items and not always on the bottom.

Thanks, Collecto, in this case, the imprint was there, very light on the bottom, TallCakes helped me figure out what it said. :)

They fooled me too! Lol I posted a bowl earlier thinking it was some nice old glass, turns out not only was it a modern KIG, it was also signed so inconspicuously that only after TallCakes told me to look for a mark i found it. Lesson learned =) Still, a beautiful piece!

Yes, I think so, too. Saw one same as mine at a vintage flea market last weekend, vendor had it tagged as Depression glass, lol.

I just saw one of these today and debated whether or not it was depression glass. I'm too new to the subject and decided to stick to the patterns I know... nice to come across this and get the scoop!
