I picked these up at a market over in Belgium this morning. I found a similar pair online, but these were double curves (one curve glued on top of another) and the sterling screw backs were GLUED to the Lucite. These earring backs are screwed into the Lucite. Much better quality. There is the letter "F" on one of the earring backs. I attempted to look it up but didn't find anything.
I need to do a bit more clean up on these earrings. One had scuff marks, most of which I removed. This is the first time I've run across earrings with this design, so I'm very pleased!

    Thanks for looking, CW friends.

Prefer yours! That yellowed glue is awful...

Much nicer. How did you get the scuff marks off the lucite, Bonnie?
    6. Efesgirl Efesgirl, 8 years ago
katherine - I used super fine grade wet sandpaper and very carefully sanded the earrings under running water.

I use nail buffer, with 4 graduated textured faces, efficient and gentle :-)

kyra - there's a good idea! Now I have to go and find one...what make is yours?

No marks, I think I bought it at Sephora... Any would do the job :-)

I will have a look in the drug store next time I am in Germany. They have a far better selection than drug stores here.

Sorry for popping into your conversation, girls, I just wanted to add that I use the nail buffer on sterling silver too. I have a ring that was really badly scatched and I got it back to life with a nail buffer. I'll post it next week:) It's amazing what a girl can do with her beauty supplies LOL

Yes!!! Forgot to say that too :-) Better to have 2 buffers, the one for metal will blacken!
      Thanks Freiheit!

These are very pretty and interesting. There is a necklace at the animal shop that is bent in the same form that says it's blown glass with silver and gold applications. Hum?
      Thanks for sharing these. :)

Okay, explain the thing about the nail buffer and silver, cuz I got silver that has scratches. What is a nail buffer? Somebody post pics and a tutorial please! :)

Thanks so much, kyra! OGF - yes it's possible that the necklace is glass. My earrings are quite light. I tried them on and don't even feel them.
