The first piece is about 3 1/2 inches across and is made of thin porcelain. it is cute but I don't really know what it is. There are no marks on the bottom.

The second is a small bowl (about 5 inches across) that seems like it is burnished clay with hand painted design. It has a makers mark incised or stamped on the bottom, (the third picture). If anyone knows what it is I'd love to hear from them. It is quite pretty and very smooth and almost translucent.

I especially like your little monkey dish! No idea what it's for - maybe just a little trinket dish or jewelry holder.

And possibly an ashtray. Google searches for 'monkey head ashtray' and 'open mouth ashtray' turned up a disturbingly large number of images - everything from yawning kittens to skulls to Hitler. And yes, a few monkeys... though not this one. : (

Ashtrays are designed to hold a cigarette, or more than one. The monkey would not make a good ashtray.
Perhaps a ceramic dish sponge holder?

interesting idea -- I do think it is a bit thin for an ashtray. Thanks all.
