Love this necklace I was told they no longer make jewelry with cinnabar because it has mercury
I will be looking in to this a little more I am looking for the value on this and any other information I can get

    I have the exact same necklace. Was a gift to my mother-in-law from my father-in-law. Assume he purchased it while serving in the Navy in Japan.

    Watch out, as there is a lot of fake Cinnabar out there. Usually a form of plastic. Do the hot needle test to see if you get a plastic smell. This one looks fancy and less likely to be "fake". It is a popular design in Asia and I don't think it is worth more than 200 dollars...BUT I am not a jeweler nor an appraiser.
    I love it and want one too.

    This Beautiful Large and Heavy Custom Jade Necklace was purchased at an Estate Auction a view Years ago for 1.500 dollars. It is about 14 inches long when worn around the Neck.It has very detailed Filigree Work. The Jade Beads are about 1 inch in Diameter. This great looking Jade Necklace is offered for 995.00 dollars o.b.o.
