    Vintage Kewpie Style Papier Mache Doll Lamp side glancing eyes. 19.5 inches high with original wiring. The Kewpie doll was created by Rose O'Neil in 1909 and made her debut in 1912. This figure is hand painted. The lamp works. I cannot find another one just like this on line.

      Early Kewpie doll lamps were made out of papier mache, which is what yours looks like to me. Here is a similar one. Click on the photo on this listing and you will see the entire listing with photos:
