The DENNISON WATCH CASE CO. Was founded 1874 in
Birmingham, England. They were a very successful maker of fine watch cases. Does your case contain anything. I do not see a watch?

You are quite right! Dennison watch case company was a very succesful and innovative watch case company I believe until 1965.And they also made sovereign cases. The one I have is not a watch case- it is a sovereign case.If you look at the photos you will see a spring platform that is specifically designed for holding a coin-a gentleman would wear this on a fob chain usually on his waist coat.

Now I understand, it looks like the coin would be about the size of a U.S. Half Dollar. Thank You. Ekim
