This is an early cabinet card image of the famous inventor Thomas Edison.

The image shows Edison in his early years with a thinner face than usually seen. The image dates from the very late 1870s-- soon after his invention of the phonograph/ electric bulb.

Back of the card bears a pencil ID with poor spelling "Eddison".

Subject is photographed by Anderson of Broadway, NY.

Thanks brunswick-- at one point, Edison held the most patents but now he has been passed by several other inventors.
