I'm listing this in Folk Art because I couldn't find another category that was appropriate.
I bought this at an estate auction. It is SOOOO cool! It's about 30" from neck to nose and about 19" high and about 12" wide at the base. If anyone can help me identify the manufacturer or designer, that would be great. I understand each designer/company had a certain style. This piece looks like it was in the beginning stages of production, doesn't it? The owner of the auction house said it came out of the 'Old Magnolia Inn' in Pinehurst. Not sure why and Inn would have this, but.....?
I don't know anything about the Inn but I plan on contacting him again to see if I can find out more. In the meantime, anyone that has a contact person I can reach that knows about these carousel horses, it would be great to get that info!
Thank you.
