This is a vintage coca cola cooler that my grandmother bought (I don't even know when), passed down to my father and now has been given to me. I have fond memories of carrying this 35-40 lb cooler to the beach when I was kid; nice parents, huh? Anyway, it's been in my family for some time so I'm very grateful to have this in my collection. It has all the pieces and they are in great condition, and there is no patent # on it (it only states "PAT APPLD FOR"). I've been thinking about having it restored, but I'm not sure if it would be worth putting the money into it. The bottom tray and cooler bottom has some surface rust on it but that's about it. I've looked on the internet for anything like this and I've not found one, seems like they are all slightly different in the upper tray and I've not seen any with the bottom tray (which I'm not even sure of the purpose for that tray). I've also not seen any that are pre-patent so I'm not sure what that adds to this piece.

i think i have found this cooler in my dads garage but it seems like it had never had the coca cola or any writing on the side except for the acton mfg co.? is this common i can not find just a plain one?
I would like to replace the vintage silver-color aluminum coca cola cooler that my father used in the 1960s. When they moved in with us, it got left behind by mistake. They are both gone now, and it would be a nice memory to have some of those things again. I saw this cooler on e-bay and it sold for around $70. but can't find another. Any help is appreciated.
I just recently found the exact same cooler in my grandmother’s attic. Mine also has the PAT pending and the dual tray. Mine doesn’t have the bottle opener like many of the others that look similar. I was just wondering if you ever got around to selling the item and what locations should I be looking at to sell my cooler. Thanks a million.
I have a cooler very similar to this only mine has the bottle opener right under the handle hole and mine has no drain spout. anyone know anything about this one?
