And another mystery. Sold as Murano, but I don't believe it is. It is just too delicate in my opinion and I have also seen similar vases described as being manufactured by Scailmont. Hey but I could be completely off mark on that.

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated, you can also tell me to get it of Bohemian Art Glass if anyone can prove it is Italian!

Love the colours and lines on this. It's annoying that sooo much glass is sold as Murano, it confuses the hell out of newbies like me. Do you think it Czech/Bohemian?

Hi Fran - well yes I think it Bohemian in the sense that is is 30s art glass, that is the only thing I am pretty sure of. If it is Scailmont then it would be Belgian. It's an interesting piece with no known attribution at present - hey it still could be Czech too!!!

I'm no expert, but I think it is Czech too. This fine, rainbow marbled effect is also seen on Czech glass beads & buttons of the 20s - 30s era. Glass jewellery is often a bit overlooked, but it can provide useful links to the techniques used on art glass items. This is a very attractive vase & a great find - I'd like one too!
