The fellow I bought this from told me the man in the photo is a relative. Well, who knows....I like the design of the brooch and the old photo. The pin needs some cleaning up and I will give the rest a gentle polish.

Mike and Spirit - I don't know if it is true or if he was just making joke about him being a relation. I'm not going to open the back to see if there might be anything written on that small photo. I think it's nice to know that when I look at the brooch, I am looking into the past.
He should be shot if that's a relative of his, if that was mine and he was related to me I would wear that sometimes just to remember him. Some people just don't care about history, luckily for me I love that kind of person as you would not have bought the brooch for pennies otherwise. Love it
