Pictured are examples of US stubby bottles produced from 1934 - 1939. The stubby bottles used from the 1940's through 1960's had a very rounded bottom - the bottoms of these bottles are very straight. Most of these bottles came from East Coast Brewers although I have a few from North Carolina, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Florida, New Mexico, Washington and Oregon. Most of the labels have U-permit which was used from 1934 - 36 at which point the labels were required to have an "internal Revenue Tax Paid" statement. This makes it rather easy to date the bottles. I'm always looking for new Stubby bottles of this type to add to my collection which consists of 45 different bottles at this point.
