This is an old wool blanket with a repeating design of the multi-legged creature you can see in the picture. The colors repeat themselves throughout but are used interchangeably in different body parts. The design appears to us reminiscent of native or South American origin. Overall roughly 5 feet square in size. Some of our textile friends believe it's more than 100 years old, but we have no clue of the origin. Anyone have an opinion?

I have a rug/blanket very similar to this. Has anyone been able to identify this? I bought mine in an antique store in NJ. Would appreciate any information.
