I picked up this lot of WW2 Memorabilia recently and this Certificate of Death was sent to the first of kin. The document has the hand signed signature of General H.H. Arnold Commanding General of the Army Air Forces during WW2.

Nice document signed by Hap Arnold. His signature is desirable and there are a lot on the market.

His wartime signature is much harder to find.

      Sounds like a good grouping.

Also, I wouldn't call this a "Certificate of Death"-- it is a condolence letter. Many (at all levels) would send these out to NOK.

Left out the key word of Commanders: Many CDRs (at all levels) would send these out to Next of Kin.

A lot of collectors would love to have this.

Please share some of the other items from the grouping, when you have the chance.

Thanks Scott I also have some other high ranking signatures for this Airmen and the documents reagarding the information when and where he was shot down over German Terriory. These were actually aquired from the family that didn't want them so often this breaks my heart my Gramps was A WW2 Marine.
