    Ewer
Form and execution: 1895-1896, prod. nr. 3325, decoration no. 1512
Colorless glass, matt iridescent, polychrome enamel decoration

This ewer is one of a small series of pieces made by Moser around 1895 or 1896 in matt iridescent glass decorated with ancient Egyptian styled motifs and inspired by ancient models. A couple of years later, another small series of Islamic inspired pieces was done. These are very hard to find and are usually misidentified as products of Fritz Heckert or Loetz, firms that were doing similar things at the time. The numeric markings on this piece correspond to the series done by Moser as documented in Moser 1857-1997, Jan Mergl and Lenka Pankova, published by the firm in Karlovy Vary.
