    These 2 brown skinned dolls with mama boxes are made of bakelite and are 5 part body strung .They have flirty eyes and their hair is mohair.They were made during the 1950s by the Italian doll maker Ratti.
    I really like the high quality of these 2 dolls and I have not seen many dolls made of bakelite.

      I can imagine these being sent or brought over from Italy on a ship with a family, post war migration, and kept lovingly by a little girl because they were so precious.

      I find it fascinating that they are exactly the same!Could they have been presented to twin sisters? I agree they have been very well looked after with a lot of love:)
