This one needs a bit of TLC. I will replace the missing rhinestones but I won't touch up the missing enamel. I thing the little bit of wear adds character to the brooch. The brooch is 3 inches wide and rather heavy. I believe that this brooch dates back to the 1940's, based on the material and the style of the brooch. I could be wrong, however, because I have not found one like this in my books or on line yet.

So do I, katherinescollections. I searched "Bird of Paradise" but I don't think mine is one. Oh well, I was never good at identifying birds:(
He's cool maybe a "Lyrebird" I thought B of P initially too. :)
I quite like it you wouldn't see one every day & the wear as you say give it character
