I found these in a junkyard in a tiny town about 45 minutes outside of San Miguel de Allende. The owner of the junkyard pulled them out after hanging out and talking with me for an hour or so. he wanted a ridiculously small amount for them and i gave him more, but i still feel a bit guilty for not giving him more for these. i think they are really wonderful! each one is about 6" tall and they have a place for a screw in their abdomens to hold them in place. i'd love to use them on something really cool, but i don't know what yet.
Curtain tie backs? These are really elegant.
that's a possibility, although i'm not sure where the tie back is. maybe the screw was actually a tie back? thanks MeliG!
