These came out as Kentucky Derby Decanters in the late 60's and early 70's. I have three myself, so I have done some work on making a list of which ones for which years. I'm not 100% positive about the info, it's the best I could come up with from the info available online.

      Emerald Green - 1968
      Milk Glass - 1969
      Cobalt Blue - 1971
      Slag Glass - 1972
      Amber/Brown - 1973
      Amethyst/Purple - ?
      Black Glass - ?

Maybe some of the CW peeps out there have some additional info.

Ironically, my wife and I just toured the Jim Beam factory last week (an unexpected stop while driving home from Florida). It was a great tour that ended in a display room showing off their collection of decanters. Decanters have fascinated me and I thought about collecting them a long time ago. Anyhow, we asked about how to acquire some examples and were given the name of a decanter collector (he also sells) just down the road from the factory. We visited him and his collection was mind-boggling.

We learned that Jim Beam's first decanter was created in 1955 and sometimes they issued several each year for various reasons. I ended up acquiring fine examples of Beam's first three decanters issued in '55, '56, and '57. (Hey why not cap a cool trip with these!)

I'll post pictures at some point.
