This beautiful piece is 23 inches tall and about 17 inches wide.
I was informed that this Umbrella Stand is authentic and by Franz Anton Mehlem Factory. (1836-1920)
Royal -Bonn is the trade name and Old-Dutch is the line of Pottery, which is art nouveau.

I'm not at all sure of the age of this item. There are absolutely no chips or mars. Can anyone offer any insight as to the history of Franz Anton Mehlem Factory? Possible age of item?

The best read on line is probably here:
"An extra note should be made on the Delftware produced by Mehlem, especially the larger plates (chargers). The quality reproductions of Delftware where so good that even Delft workers respectfully referred to the pieces as 'German Delft'."
      http://www.porcelainmarksandmore.com/germany/northrhine/poppelsdorf-02/index.php

The "Royal" title used after 1890 .... until 1920.
By that time the Factory was called: "Steingut-Fabrik und Kunsttöpferei Franz Ant. Mehlem, Inhaber F. Guilleaume."
