I picked this up and am wondering what it is. I've seen similar coins from China, done with the symbols only on one side and the crude hole through the central square.
I gave it a 50-50 chance of old real or old fake and picked it up. Usually modern fakes look much nicer. This one is so crude that I wonder.
It's just a bit shy of 1 inch across, or about 2.5 centimeters.
I was unable to find anything out on it, but I'd like to know:
1. If anyone can translate anything on it.
2. When it is from.
3. What denomination it is for.
4. Is it one of those 'Cast' Chinese Coins?
Chinese? Roman? Greek? Babylonian? Mesopotamian? Looks old! Looks cool. [;>)
I'm fairly sure it's Chinese. They pop up all over.

Spiritbear do you get your CW name from the white black bears that live in the B.C. Kermode bear or Spiritbear or?
There are many reasons why I am Spirit Bear. My first encounters with bears started at age 9. I spent part of a day a week with them for a few years, till they were all sent away. I began to study them in-depth and found similarities between them and me through our interactions; it wasn't till one accidentally hurt me in playing that this all occurred.
At the same time as that, I was exploring my ancestry, including the Native American side (I'm mostly German, though,) and I found great interest in them.
In recent years I joined the furry culture. Not the dress up and act like animals kind or the kind most people think of-- 'furries', in a sense, go back thousands of years and have been a popular part of American culture in some way or another for over a century.
Spirit Bear has also been a name on every site I'm part of going back before I became a furry. You can find me on several forums and the chat-site I moderate under this name.

Cool Spiritbear just wondering they are part of the Haida culture here and shrouded in mystery great reverence, with the totem poles on the Islands off B.C.
They're beautiful. I've not yet seen one. Perhaps one day.
Are they near the top or bottom of the totems usually? The bottom typically means Foundational, or most important, from what I've learned.
