This teapot belongs to my elderly Mum-in-law. It seems to be handpainted, with a mark of 697A on the base. I would be interested to know it's make.

Does anyone know the make of this teapot please?

I see what looks like an impressed mark in the bottom, off to the left of the 697A.

When I look at the first photo, handle on the right, it looks like a Deco piece. It's a lovely teapot, and in excellent shape, and wish I could help with the maker. Does your mum-in-law have any idea where it came from?

I don't think so,but I think I might take it with me when I see her,and ask her then. We've had to sort her things,as she's gone in a home. She's 103 years old.

This pot was probably made by one of the countless Staffordshire potteries dotted all over the UK. There is no way to track it down with just a model number. It's a lovely and unusual pot.
