A few days ago I found this blue ceramic plate or shallow bowl in the charity shop, the wires for hanging were already attached. Seems to me it's a quite pretty work. I'm not very sure how to read a signature - is it Gill Leins? Is somebody familiar with the name or signature? Thanks beforehand for any info.

Boy, that's BLUE, alright! I haven't found anything on that name or several other combinations of the name. May just be a studio piece done by someone local to where you bought it.

I guess you already know that those plate hangers can damage the glaze but if it's not a valuable plate to you hang it up!! Admire.....
Racer4four I would never put this kind of hanger onto the plate. I see often plates with damaged rim because of the wire hanger. When I bought a plate, the wires were already on it. Maybe I will take them off, I don't know yet.
