Small table lamp (approx 30cm high) with very heavy glass base in blue, pink and clear. With original frosted glass shade. Immaculate condition.
Bought new in 1962 in Zambia, but it would have been imported. No markings on the base to indicate origin.
I have never seen another lamp like it - can anyone offer any ideas as to origin, maker or value?

Murano Italy circa 1960's? Seen some kind of like this with Murano labels.
I also had a crazy green/clear Murano glass lamp similar to this one, but much taller. The neck of the glass was upright, but the bottom part was the same shape. I got mine out of a thrift shop for two bucks.
Neat, can say I have NEVER seen a twisted one like this....ever!! Can you post a base pic too?

I was wondering whether it was Italian glass too, so it was useful to get your thoughts on the origin.
I think it's safe to say that I won't be able to retire on the proceeds if I sell it!
