This 10 inch tall copper pot has an overflow pipe at the top resembling a handle, a tube coupling 4 inches down, a faucet at the bottom, and a funnel shaped base.

WHAT IS THIS THING ?...Is this a "cold water pot" for holding a worm coil condenser unit alongside a alcohol still? A beer dispensing "jockey box" ? Solar water still, possibly from a lifeboat? OR ?..........

    Thanks for your time

UPDATE: I came across a Craig's list add with a very similar funneled condenser design (pic 4) suggesting it was manufactured by Anaconda Mining Company and originally sold for the purpose of distilling water. The companies slogan was "from mine to consumer"

I would say nay on still. Does look burnt or discolored from heat. A still is like a pressure cooker made to evaporate steam trough a coil.

      Sorry does not look.

Most alcohol stills have the coil start at the top. If this is missing it would be hard to say but I'm not an expert but have seen a few.

It looks like an old school home made beer dispensing "jockey box". The bucket would be filled with ice and beer would be pumped from a keg through the coil. The coil would be cold from the ice and would super chill the beer.

That'd be my guess... Never saw an all copper one before though; most are made of wood and lined with metal, with a hinged lid top and have a copper coil in the center.
