    I picked this up, it is a blue hobnail square inkwell (I think). It measures 2 inches by 2 inches by 1. The glass hole that the cover sits on is raised. I believe the cover is brass, not sure. Thank you for your help with this.

      looks like a 'Dew Drop' ink well by Columbia Glass c1888; originally had a matching glass cap that fit over the raised lip.
