I really don't have any history on this chair but its definitely unique.
    It's 40 inches tall and 2 feet wide .
It has claw feet on the front legs but not on the back.
I would definitely like to know something about it.

      Hi and welcome to CW.
It's proving difficult to find a like chair to yours. All I can really tell you is that it's tiger maple seat and back. I like the ball and claw feet on the front, but wonder if there should be the same on the back?
Are there any marks or stamps underneath the chair? The carving is very interesting, it may "representing" some kind of historic story. Do you know anything at all the chair - where did you get if from?
I'm sorry I can't tell you more (not an expert on furniture) - you may want to take some photos to an antique store the specializes in furniture. Perhaps it's a OAK chair.

The chair was given to me by my daughter she purchased a house and the previous owner who was an elderly women and she left a few pieces of furniture and this chair was amoung the items that were left. The chair has what appears to be dragons carved in it and I cant find any markings on it.
