    I inherited this from a friend in NYC and he'd inherited it from his artist father. It is teak. I can't find any signature...or don't know where I should be looking. It is the original finish. His father had his coffee at this table every morning and there is one slight coffee cup ring in the middle of the table. I have had it in storage, it definitely needs some love, but it is still very elegant and so functional. It and I did have a very short stay in a rent-controlled apartment on the upper West Side of NYC (an illegal sublet, of course)--and one dinner party together. Then we parted ways. I was in Africa for a year and Iraq for 2 and the Gateleg went to live in a storage unit in South Texas. I think the humidity was good for the table, it looked more luminous when I took it out--or I just missed it:)

    29 in.Hx62 in.Wx40 and @ 8" wide when closed.
