This is for all of you Depression Glass lovers out there. From what I know it is tough to find these together. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Some of the history behind this Depression Glass. They were given out during the Depression at the Conant Theater in Detroit which is now closed. They used to have dish day there. You would come to see a show (like on a Friday for example) and get a dish. The next 9+ Fridays you would get another dish from the set to complete it. What a way to promote going to the theater! I know I have some relatives that went during this time and saw a scary movie. During certain parts they got scared and ended up breaking the dishes that were given to them!! : )

Thank you for looking my friends. Have an awesome and safe Easter Weekend! Wishing you the best of luck in finding all the Easter eggs that are hidden in your house...or outside.... : )

My mother, her two sisters, and her mother walked up the street to the Oaks Theater in Berkeley on Saturday nights which was dish night. I always wondered why my mother had FOUR Jeannette tall Coffee containers!! I love the story!
